Choosing a Residential Roof Replacement Contractor:
Whether it’s due to hail or windstorm, or just age when you own a home in Dallas, Lewisviile or Flower Mound, it’s a high probability that one day you’ll need your roof replaced. Most people’s homes are their largest investment, and your roof is the structure that protects your investment and everything inside it. With so many roofing contractors to choose from, deciding which company to choose can be a huge decision! Pearson Roofing has been providing residential roof replacements for over 40 years and counting! We are local and reputable. When you’re deciding which contractor to entrust your biggest investment to, look no further than your neighbors at Pearson Roofing. Did you know that only about 2% of the roofing contractors in the United States is a GAF Master Elite certified installer? This is one of the highest standards in the roofing industry, and Pearson Roofing is proud to be one of the few who have met and exceeded the strict criteria and screening process.
The Roof Replacement Process:
Pearson Roofing’s experts will guide you through the process every step of the way. We will advocate for you with your insurance company to ensure that no stone is left unturned. Once it’s been determined that your roof will require being replaced, relax and know that Pearson Roofing will take care of your home just as we would take care of our own.
Step 1. Call your insurance company:
The first step is contacting your insurance company to assess the damage. Once you’ve been contacted by an adjuster, it’s ideal that you let Pearson Roofing know when an appointment has been scheduled, so that we can be present on the day that your adjuster inspects your property. When an area has been heavily hit by a major storm, many adjusters are inundated with claims, and are sometimes rushed to get to the next property. Having a Pearson Roofing representative present can help to ensure that no damages are missed on your claim, saving all involved time and money later. Your insurance company will then issue you a check for the damages minus your deductible and recoverable depreciation. This is what insurance companies refer to as Actual Cash Value or ACV. Once the project is completed, you will receive a final check referred to as recoverable depreciation. They will provide you with a packet containing their estimation for your scope of work. Unless you really know roofing or insurance terminology, it can be confusing to determine what you’re actually being compensated for. Your Pearson Roofing representative will help you decipher what funds you will be receiving in total and what the funds were allowed for.
Step 2. Schedule the Roof Replacement:
Once your adjuster has completed your paperwork, your Pearson Roofing representative will provide you with shingle options and colors to choose from. Once you’ve decided, we can schedule and replace your roof within the same week in most cases. Obviously, in our industry, monitoring the weather conditions are imperative, so you can be sure that we will always take the weather forecast into consideration before scheduling your residential roof replacement. The removal and installation process can usually be completed in one day!
Step 3. Relax and Love your New Roof:
Your Pearson Roofing representative will submit all required documentation and invoice your insurance company and inform them that your roof has been replaced. At that point, they will issue a final check for your recoverable depreciation.
